Halloween in London

Just got back from a few days in London with Grandma and Grandpa Marshall. Halloween here isn't quite what it is in the States, but we thought we would dress Bailey up anyway. She got to spend Halloween with both grandparents and she met the general. What an exciting day. Here is Bailey who didn't really enjoy being a bunny.

Here is a photo of our trip last week to Scarborough. We have had fun showing Grandma and Grandpa Marshall all around England!

Light a million candles

Saw this on a friend's blog and thought it was well worth doing. It only takes a minute and hopefully it will make a difference:

The innocent victims of Internet child abuse cannot speak for themselves.

But you can.

With your help, we can eradicate this evil trade.

We do not need your money.

We need you to light a candle of support .

We're aiming to light at least One Million Candles by December 31, 2006.

This petition will be used to encourage governments, politicians, financial institutions, payment organisations, Internet service providers, technology companies and law enforcement agencies to eradicate the commercial viability of online child abuse.

They have the power to work together. You have the power to get them to take action.

Please light your candle at http://www.lightamillioncandles.com

Together, we can destroy the commercial viability of Internet child abuse sites that are destroying the lives of innocent children.

Finally an update...

So I guess today is the official end of our first summer here in England. There is a lot that has happened since we last posted as it has been an exciting few months. Our summer began with a trip back home to Michigan and just ended with the 3 of us going to Rome for about a week. In the middle of all of that travelling we had a great summer school, enjoyed a warm England summer, finally had our house re-carpeted, did a lot of sight seeing around England, and spent time with new friends here.
It will be good to get back in the routine of life although things are already busy as we have our youth councils in just under 2 weeks.
It is hard to believe but Bailey turns 1 next month. She has been such a blessing to us this summer as we have literally dragged her all over the world. She is such an easy-going baby and has probably flown more in the last few months as many people have their whole lives. She endured really hot train rides in Rome as well as trying to navigate through Roman ruins which let me say is not easy with a stroller.
I won't say much more but will leave you with some pictures from our first summer here in England. We are really enjoying life here, but are always thinking of everyone back home. I think I will particularly miss Michigan fall as it is probably my favorite time of the year. So think of me when you are visiting a cider mill this fall, I tried to explain the concept of a cider mill to someone here and they didn't quite get it...
Anyway here is a glimpse into our summer...
